In Freeman: Guerrilla Warfare you are able to take enemy squads as prisoners, provided that you win the fight. What you do with those prisoners can have different outcomes depending on the option you pick. This page will explain prisoner management.
Taking Prisoners[]
At the end of the battle, after the looting screen, you will be met with a screen that allows you to take prisoners. You have four options:

- Persuade to Join
Try to convince the prisoners to join your side. This usually won't work since freshly captured troops will have low morale.
- Imprison
Take them as your prisoners.
- Execute
Execute the prisoner. If the prisoner belongs to a particular faction, your relationship will decrease. However, executing one prisoner scares all the others, making them more willing to join you. This is why you should always keep 3-4 common bandits in your party to fearmonger better troops.
- Release
Let the prisoner go. If they are associated with a particular faction, releasing them will increase your relationship with them.
Prisoner Management[]
Once you have taken an enemy squad prisoner, you now have 6 options to choose from.
Try to convince the prisoners to join your side.
- Propaganda
Give the prisoners some political propaganda to make them lower their guard.
- Bribe
Money can buy anything, including loyalty.
- Torture
Torture can potentially break the will of the prisoner, making it easier to sway them to your side.
- Execute
